Extra-curricular Activities
CSWCSS offers students a lot of opportunities to develop their own interests and realize their potential outside formal school syllabus. The guiding principles for providing Extra-curricular Activities are to:
- Cultivate ambitious and active learners who make their own pathways
- provide students with an all-round education
- promote education for life
- cultivate internationalism and respect for other cultures
- adapt to the local environment and allow students to maintain a strong sense of cultural identity
Currently, CSWCSS has the following Extra-curricular Activities organized by the department (as an extension to the curriculum) and the various groups or organizations co-ordinated under the Extra-curricular Activities Committee (EAC).
St. Mark's House:
”Give me an ‘S,’ give me a ‘T,’ give me an ‘M’! What does that spell? St. Mark, let’s hear it yell! St. Mark, our champion, so strong and true, we’re here to cheer and support you! From the sidelines to the stands, we’ll clap our hands and raise the roof, cheering for our St. Mark’s truth! So let’s bring the spirit, let’s bring the fire, St. Mark’s team, take it higher! Go, St. Mark, show them your might, we’re with you every day and every night!”
St. Matthew's House:
What is the meaning of competitions?
Through competitions, one is motivated to sharpen and improve the skills and talents of oneself, and extend one’s potential to the fullest.
We should not lose 3 things:
Fighting spirit
Hope and belief
Self-strengthening and Continuous improvement
St. Luke's House:
St. Luke’s House, shining bright,
Guiding souls through the darkest night.
In the house of blue, St. Luke’s we hail,
Where compassion and care never fail.
With hearts so true, shining bright and true,
United in purpose, there’s nothing we can’t do!
St. John's House:
“If then I being your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that as I have done to you, so you do also.” (John 13:14-15)
Here in St. John’s, our spirits entwine,
United as Johnians, an alliance divine!
Brothers all in arms, as one we stand,
Together we’ll conquer, hand in hand!
Striving for greatness, reaching far and wide,
We soar like eagles, with fortified pride!
With humility and grace, we rise to His call,
St. John’s spirits, inspiring one and all!
So wave those banners high, our victory’s nigh,
Johnians forever, reaching for the sky!
With passion and diligence, we’ll ascend the peak,
St. John’s House, where legacies we seek!
